Aaron
was born in a small room just down the hall from Vancouver called New
Westminster. His mother suffered through 90 degree heat for three months
before giving birth to Aaron on August 19th and then again on the 23rd,
1971. She would go to the beach to cool off but the members of Greenpeace
would come by and roll her back into the water fearing she had beached
herself. She was and remains the greatest mother of all time.
His father
provides him with wisdom that clearly comes from his 137 years on the
planet. From his days as a young child Aaron would tell his mother and
father that his wanted to be an actor. As an adult Aaron does not
remember this but still tells his mother and father that he wants to be
an actor. They argue vehemently, saying that Aaron should take the civil
service exam and move into the public sector but when Aaron provides
them with free movie tickets they quickly forget their disappointment in
Aaron and begin the free popcorn negotiations.
Aaron has a
much more intelligent and better looking brother Chris who, unlike
Aaron, turned his brain on at some point and went to school to be a real
person. Growing up Aaron played hockey and continues to this day to
stand on the blue ice and have frozen rubber disks shot at him at great
velocity. Unlike fists, guns and small forest creatures Aaron has no
apparent fear of these frozen Ding Dongs and is violently protective of
his blue ice having been known to shatter an ankle or two of players who
venture onto his most holy frozen blue water.
Aaron has
participated in various forms of the arts from being in a rock band (TRC)
in high school to drama class from elementary school. After graduation
(high school, Aaron did not go to college) he spent many years finding
out what he did not want to do with his life (salesman, sports nutrition
rep., marketing, floor layer, etc.) and eventually ended up in the
William Davis Center for Actors Study in Vancouver. There Aaron met
Garry Davey, the artistic director of the school at the time, who
encouraged Aaron to pursue this craft of acting. Aaron attended the
William Davis Center for the full-time program for one year at the end
signing with an agent and getting on with his acting career. During the
school days Aaron worked at Earl's restaurant on Robson as, you guessed
it, a waiter and owes many thanks to Dario Gianna (Big Tuna) the GM for
his support in the beginning years.
Thankfully Aaron has now put the serving days behind him and patronizes
the restaurant as a customer and nothing else. Currently Aaron is
portraying Chief Galen Tyrol in Battlestar Galactica and can be seen in
various television and feature films on TV and in the theaters. Aaron
would like to thank Russ Mortensen and Lena Lees at Pacific Artists in
Vancouver and William Ward Jr., Mickey Barold and David Rudy at Roar
Management in Los Angeles. These are the people who take Aarons money
with little or no work.
Aaron feels
he would be just as well off with a monkey but for some reason the
monkey has a hard time dialling the phone and takes too many smoke
breaks.

Originally thought to be some bad meat from his
fathers cooking, fetus Aaron refused to be washed
away by the alka-seltzer and went on to spend ten
and a half glorious months in his mother's womb. It
was then that he first felt the warmth of the
limelight. He knew at the ripe young age of
negative zero, that he would one day go on and
become ...an actor. It was in this stage, in this
womb, that he was the show, he was the center of
attention and coincidentally the center of his
mother.
Aaron
was born in New Westminster on a beautiful summer
day in the evening of August 8th and then again on
the morning of August 23rd to the amazing woman
Arlene Elliott. Arlene would go on four years later
to write the sequel for Aaron, Christopher John.
Christopher, mainly known for his athletic prowess,
(known as Chris 'pretty good moves for a big man'
Douglas) would taunt his older brother and use his
quickness and cat like bounding ability to escape
the wrath and flying objects launched by Aaron.
After escaping from that infernal Bastille Aaron
went on to further glory with such memorable
performances of "Toddler slipper wearer",
"pre-school toy monitor", "8 year old rides bus by
himself", and the unforgettable "The goalie has to
pee but there is 7 minutes left in the second."
After
leaving the Lower Mainland as a cagey veteran of 10
human years Aaron continued his teacher / parental
torture in the 1 1/3 horse town of Creston BC.
There Aaron's acting career really got starting when
after burning down a house he stood with matches and
gasoline in hand and told the firemen, "It wasn't
me." This tremendous performance was but a preview
to his "12 year old caught riding dirt bike on
road." After the RCMP officer made his expected
u-turn he came upon a stone faced Aaron pushing his
Kawasaki 80 along the side of the road while
explaining to the officer that it must have been
someone else that he saw as Aaron would never
disobey the law nor would he besmirch his good name
by lying to the police. This Golden Globe
performance won Aaron his freedom and a stern
warning that should he ever see that other boy
riding on the road again he was to tell him to stop
and report the incident to the police. Aaron saw
that boy many times after that but never turned him
in.
In
high school Aaron continued his stellar play in the
nets playing Ron Hextall and Billy Smith in what was
really the first real life reality show that could
have been named, "Get out of my crease or I will
break your ankle." On stage Aaron wowed the audience
with such breakthrough performances as greaser
number 2 in the Prince Charles Secondary Schools
production of "Grease". He followed that up with
the memorable (to his mom) adaptation of "Oh you
were that guy?!?" in The Pajama Game at the same
institution. After he moved his parents to Kelowna
for his 12th grade year so his father, Michael
Douglas, could take a teaching position at the
university Aaron did his best to create an
atmosphere that would ultimately lead to the
quitting of the drama teacher at KLO Secondary
School. His solo performances with the police
continued throughout his most senior year and were
some of his strongest work. There was "not my car",
"I wasn't driving", "who would burn that in to the
field?", "my face feels shiny", and the
exceptionally played "She wouldn't have been
pregnant if the truck wasn't blue."
After
high school Aaron spent several year pretending to
be someone else. He was a floor layer, a video
store attendant, a computer software marketer, a
sports nutrition marketer and rep. All of these
jobs and the inordinate amount of time that Aaron
spent watching television ultimately led him back to
his true talent and profession; lying to those
around him. So Aaron quit all of his jobs and went
to the William B. Davis Center for the one-year full
time program and supplemented his student loan by
telling customers at Earls on Robson that the food
is the best and then bringing it to their tables.
Once again Aarons skills of deception came to the
fore. (Actually Aarons skills were so sharply honed
that he still eats at earls very regularly.)
After
acting school Aaron wandered into the world and
began his life as a full time fooler. When asked to
reflect on the path that his career has taken Aaron
simply replied, "My cats breath smells like cat
food." Cat food indeed Aaron. cat food indeed.

The
Galactica's deck chief has spent a lifetime caring
for big machines and the people who fix them. In the
process, he has become the kind of man for whom his

lover Sharon was a Cylon and then losing her to Helo,
he has started a relationship with Specialist Cally,
a member of his devoted crew. He moved with Cally to

and, in the wake of the Cylon occupation, has become
a resistance leader.

peculiar intuitions and heard enigmatic music in his
head. The explanation for these eerie events is
simple but shocking: He is one of the Final Five
Cylons.
